Brass Rubbing Collages
A collection of rubbings sourced from the 12 churches of Aylsham parish, Norfolk.
Jessica has assembled, repeated and re-aligned historic figures from the past, placing them in new arrangements, sometimes adjacent to their long-lost relatives from 200 years before, and often including rubbings from the gravestones too.
This reinvention of traditional brass rubbing method has breathed new life into these significant pieces of medieval art.
