These permanent artworks gave the Surestart Centres a strong visual identity upon entry, and were a positive experience for the participants.
This piece was made by drawing around children's and adults hands onto fabric and paper, and then transforming them into new creatures with the simple addition of eyes, and stick-arms and legs. The hands transformed into friendly chickens, fish, people.
This method is simple enough to be enjoyed and developed by all ages and abilities.
Once the open workshop day was finished, jessibegan the process of laying a watercolour background scene and collating everybody's artwork into a collaborative, A0-size framed picture.
